Apurv Singh Baghel is a proficient problem-solver with over 8 years of diverse experience in IT product management for service companies and product startups. He has a proven track record of process innovation and optimization, and is skilled in business development, creating and executing strategic blueprints, product design, full product development lifecycle, market research, stakeholder management, program management, and operational transformation. Currently, Apurv is a Senior Manager of Business Strategy, Strategic Investments & Growth at NEC Corporation. In this role, he leads strategic alliances with OEMs and vendors to drive business growth across all business units, identifies the "Next Big Idea" to invest in, and sets up a one-stop-shop to minimize PoC, Demo & internal training costs, leveraging partnerships. He also implements operational and procedural improvements to refine daily business operations. In the past, Apurv has helped manage P&L for one of the leading business units in the company - Public Safety. He has led strategic planning, implementation, transformation, and troubleshooting to drive revenue growth, oversaw periodic delivery estimation, and ensured the minimal forecast-actuals gap. He has also led cost-control and strategic alignment of responses to both government RFPs and enterprise REOIs, led financial planning and annual budgeting for the Public Safety business unit, and setup the charter, operational methodology, and vision for the "Strategic Investments & Growth" unit in the company under the guidance of the CEO. Apurv's past experience includes working as a System Engineer at IDMWorks, where he wrote assembler routines and COBOL programs for Identity and Access Management Product, and as a Software Engineer at Syntel, where he developed and supported mainframe applications for client's insurance products. Apurv holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, a certificate from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Amity University. He also completed high school from Christukula Mission Higher Secondary School. His tech stack includes product design, product management, research scientist, and software engineer.
